Community Chaplaincy is…

· To promote one particular church group.

· To bring division between churches, ministries and faith groups.
· A new faith or religious group.
A Community Chaplain is…

An appointed clergy or layman, that performs religious duties (practical ministry with a message) in a public arena.
· Involved in building relationships with other faith groups, participating in community activities, and supporting community initiatives.
· Willing to coordinate and spearhead unity-focused activities and programs.
· Available for itinerant speaking on community transformation.
· Able to promote community healing and restoration as evidenced by community identified issues.
· One who acts as a liaison and referral contact between members of the community and various community resources.
